The only certainty is that human beings' hope and determination to be good and green have not changed.
In 2025, ten years after the signing of the Paris Agreement, the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change entered the heart of the Amazon rainforest, Belém, the capital of the state of Pará in northern Brazil. China has released new Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets, proposing to further strengthen actions in emission reduction, clean energy, green growth and climate adaptation by 2035: including achieving a significant reduction in net greenhouse gas emissions, expanding the scope of emission reduction, continuing to increase the proportion of non-fossil energy, continuing to expand renewable energy installations, increasing forest savings, and accelerating the development of new energy vehicles and the national carbon market.
